The Junior League of Charlotte, Inc. (JLC) is excited to launch a new program that encompasses this year’s themes of Advocacy, Connecting and Training. Get On Board! is a five-week training program that focuses on preparing participants for non-profit leadership on community boards. As the first of its kind in Charlotte, the program will also serve as a connector between the JLC and the community by having open membership. The application process for Get On Board! will be open to both League members and non-Leaguers, which will broaden its scope of influence.
Participants in Get On Board! will gain the confidence, competency, and skills needed to effectively serve on a non-profit Board of Directors. Upon successful completion of the course, the JLC will match participants with a local non-profit for board membership or a board internship.
