Started in 2011, Get on Board is a workshop through the Junior League of Charlotte providing knowledge and skills to current board and staff members and those that wish to be placed on a nonprofit board at the conclusion of the training.
Many nonprofit organizations working hard to improve our region are facing enormous challenges and are seeking energetic, talented and qualified leaders to help them achieve their mission. The Get on Board training program prepares individuals to serve as board members for nonprofit organizations.
Get on Board is designed to ensure participants use their time and talents most effectively for each non profit’s mission and the community’s overall benefit. Participants will gain increased competence and confidence to develop and maintain a well-run nonprofit organization. Those that attend the Get on Board training program can expect to understand the responsibilities of a nonprofit board and how these responsibilities relate to others within the organization.
Get on Board is open to anyone committed to community service, you do not need to be a Junior League member to participate.
Applications are now being accepted. The fall 2014 program will begin in November. Apply now! http://www.jlcharlotte.org/?nd=form__227
