The Junior League of Charlotte, Inc. (JLC) is excited about its new partnership with Baby Bundles. Baby Bundles partners with community organizations to provide a bag of necessities to mothers in need as they leave the hospital with their newborn. The Baby Bundle bag usually includes items such as baby outfits, blankets, developmental toys and books. Founded in 2010, Baby Bundles currently operates using three donation drop-off locations in and around Center City. The Baby Bundles Warehouse, located in Northwest Charlotte, serves as their main location to house donations and host volunteers that assist with sorting donations and creating baby bundles.
Chinette Stevenson, the Chair for Baby Bundles, says, “We are excited about initiating a new placement that has an important impact in our community, especially families of newborns and young children. This gives us the opportunity to get involved with expanding the bundle program and serving more families in the Charlotte area.”
JLC is partnering with Baby Bundles to provide essentials to families in financial need in the Charlotte area, helping families get a positive start with their new baby. In preparation for creating the baby bundles, we will also assist with collecting donations and sorting items received (new and gently used).
Jennifer Vande Loo is a first year active member and shared her excitement regarding the partnership with Baby Bundles, “I am most excited to work with baby bundles to be able to help supply families with necessities for their newborns. It has been wonderful to help make bundles and watch different charities come pick them up to give to new mothers and know we are making an impact in the community.”
