Join The Junior League of Charlotte (JLC) on Thursday, March 5, 10 a.m. – noon, for a special book review and signing of Carolyn O’Neil’s The Slim Down South Cookbook : Eating Well and Living Healthy in the Land of Biscuits and Bacon. Learn more about Southern Living’s first healthy Southern cookbook featuring more than 100 nutritious yet satisfying recipes. In addition, attendees will be treated to a tasting, providing the perfect opportunity to mix and mingle.
Award-winning author, food journalist and registered dietitian Carolyn O’Neil will discuss creating a healthy balance through good nutrition and her cookbook, which will be available for purchase. Carolyn will be joined by one of Charlotte’s most respected culinary figures, Bruce Moffett, a James Beard Foundation Best Chef Southeast nominee and chef of Barrington’s, Good Food on Montford and Stagioni. Bruce will be in the kitchen providing flavorful samples from several recipes in the book.
