Credit Opportunity – Leaving a Legacy
Mark your calendars for a Planned Giving Education Event on Thursday, February 27 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the JLC Building. Attendees will receive one membership credit and learn about about effective and meaningful estate planning for different stages of life.
The purpose of the event is to educate JLC members on the importance of having a will and including charitable giving in their estate planning. The event features a panel of three guest speakers and is hosted by the Legacy Society. Jim Kelly will discuss charitable giving to non-profits through wills or estates. T T Christian Cherry, an attorney, will cover what you need to know about wills. Phillips Bragg will speak to financial planning.
This event for is for you, no matter how old you are! Topics discussed will be relevant for every stage of life. This educational event will show you how you can give back to your community by planning for the future.
