DECEMBER 17:
DEMYSTIFYING BYLAWS AND POLICIES: THE BACKBONE OF YOUR LEAGUE’S STRUCTURE AND MANAGEMENT
Good bylaws and policies are essential to a healthy Junior League. They establish the legal framework, define the authority of the members and the Board, and spell out how the League will be governed and managed. Yet bring up the subject of bylaws and policies and you are sure to witness lots of confusion around what should be in the bylaws and what should be in the Policies manual. To assist, AJLI has recently issued a digital publication, AJLI Bylaws Template. In this webinar Anne Dalton will walk you through the AJLI Bylaws Template, illustrate the connection between bylaws and policies, help you identify how to incorporate the AJLI Minimum Standards into your governing documents, and cover the essentials of how bylaws and policies are amended. So come prepared with your League’s current governing documents. Together we’ll find the way to making these important resources work for your League!
