The Junior League of Charlotte is comprised of nearly 1900 philanthropic women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Congratulations to the women that were recognized during the month of February for living out the JLC mission and making a difference in our community.
Erin Wilk (HR Marketing and PR) did a phenomenal job working on a Past Member Letter project alongside the HRC Manager, Charlitta Hatch. Erin worked quickly to turn the project around at a record pace and her work is already creating positive results.
Carla Clements (Circle de Luz) is making a huge impact on her committee. She was recognized by the committee Vice Chair, Ashley Clark, for her hard work and success this year.
Allison Sigmon (CIC Physical Health Team) serves as the Physical Health Team Vice Chair and is doing a wonderful job. The Give Kids a Smile committee is truly appreciative of her help in organizing the dental supplies for their big event on February 5!
Stephanie Landers (Give Kids a Smile) has been working diligently on dental recruitment efforts, including securing all the food donations for the recruitment social.
Jamie Mills (Promising Pages – Chair) has been recognized as doing a fantastic job chairing the committee this year. Her consistent involvement and willingness to step up as vice-chair for the Healthy Minds team within CIC as an addition to her current role makes her a true JLC Rockstar.
Taylor Stading (Membership Meetings) has been recognized for her work in developing an engaging and innovative Membership Meeting plan for the 2015-16 League year. Her hard work is visible to and appreciated by our entire membership.
Brittany Wright (Get on Board) has done an amazing job obtaining materials for the Participant Notebook and ensuring that everything was compiled and prepared correctly. Her attentiveness to detail and overall organization is an extremely valuable asset to her committee.
Jennifer Barnes, Ashley Soublet, and Alyssa Ferri (Leadership Development Institute) have all exceeded their requirements as participants in the LDI program by attending two Sip N’ Service projects. Their willingness to go above and beyond in their participation in the program and commitment to the League is not unnoticed.
Kelly Dieter, Erin Coomer, and Toya Allen (Advocacy & Public Awareness) are all integral members of the Advocacy & Public Awareness committee. Their dedication and engagement was recognized by the committee chair, Sherri Belfield.
Shika Raynor, Jennifer Bishop, and Aisha Thomas (WearHouse Committee) are working hard on organizing the Spring Event for the JLC WearHouse so that it can be even bigger and better than last year!
Catie Collins, Lauren Dayton, and Kari Kessell (Signature Spring Fundraiser) poured their hearts into the final details of March Money Madness, our Signature Spring Fundraiser at Dilworth Neighborhood Bar and Grille. These women created a memorable evening for our members and community partners to enjoy!
Melissa Neal, Cristina Weber, Sasha Levons, Deidra Willis, and Kelly Gibbs (Planned Giving) put in tremendous amounts of energy and effort to plan for a successful event: “A Woman’s Worth”. They are also working diligently to schedule individual council “Planned Giving Talks” that will happen throughout the remainder of the League year.
Joy Patterson (Membership Advisory – Vice Chair) is a fabulous Vice Chair and is committed to making strong changes to improve the committee for the 2016-17 League year. Joy is consistently organized and willing to jump in and help.
Sherri Johnson (Nominating) is always willing to go the extra step to understand the JLC process for successfully placing our members.
Debbie Hull and Kirsten Pittman (Nominating) were recognized for working together to creative innovative ideas to improve the Nominating process.
Jess Dienna (Membership Development) is a superior Advisor who has been serving in this role for the past two years and always fosters a sense of engagement amongst her group of provisional members. This can be attributed to her stellar leadership skills and contagious happiness!
Caitlin Hegelson (HR Council Secretary) and Charlitta Hatch (HR Council Manager) are always willing to help and go the extra mile to get things done. Their council can always count on them to do whatever it takes to make a difference.
