The Junior League of Charlotte, Inc. (JLC) is taking part in #GivingTuesday, an effort focused on transforming how people think about, talk about and participate in the holiday giving season. As retail stores promote holiday shopping through Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday inspires people to take collaborative action to improve their local communities and the world by giving back to the charities and causes they support.
“The JLC is excited to partner with #GivingTuesday and to be a part of a global campaign that encourages people to give back and that recognizes all the hard work non-profit organizations put forward throughout the year,” said Whitney Sturge, JLC’s Fund Development Manager.
On #GivingTuesday—December 2, 2014—show your support for the JLC by making a donation to the JLC’s Annual Campaign Fund. Donations to the Annual Campaign will facilitate the JLC’s initiatives: promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. In other words, you can help empower women to lead change in the Charlotte community! To join in or learn more about the JLC’s #GivingTuesday initiative, please visit http://bit.ly/JLCGivingTuesday.
