The Junior League of Charlotte, Inc. (JLC) could not accomplish all that we do without the dedication and hard work of our members. We would like to recognize the following members who have gone above and beyond this month and are kicking the 2015-2016 JLC year off to an incredible start.
Thank you for all that you do to make a lasting impact on our community.
Nikki Brantley (Vice Chair – Leadership Marketing & PR) is doing a phenomenal job in her new role. She is on top of all things JLC and is full of ideas and enthusiasm.
Sophia Burrowes (MDC Advisor) planned and executed a very successful Paddle Board social event on Lake Norman open to all Provisionals. She is doing a great job at reaching out to other advisors and planning combined socials for Provisionals.
Rebecca Carter (Vice Chair – HRC Marketing & PR) and Connie Hickson (HRC Marketing & PR) are both very valuable members of the JLC. Not only are they dedicated to serving our membership and community, but are also invested in developing themselves through their placements and relationships. They are both working to move the dial forward with creative and innovative ideas and solutions.
Allyson Colaco (Vice Chair – Membership Meetings) has stepped up to lead her committee while filling in for Committee Chair, Cassie Albergotti, who has just welcomed home a new member of the family!
Amelia Farmer and Lisa Prestifilippo (Fall Fundraiser) have both hit the ground running, taking on new responsibilities, identifying areas of need and knocking out tasks to prepare for the fall.
Karen Garrison (Finance) made a huge impact last year as the Chair of the Audit Subcommittee when she invested a great deal of time in the audit Request for Proposal process. As a result of her hard work, a new auditor has been selected with more competitive fees and a fresh perspective. Karen is extremely engaged and committed and the Finance team is very appreciative of her efforts.
Jania Massey (Leadership Development Institute) saw a need and went above and beyond to connect with Industry Charlotte to confirm sponsored meeting space for LDI Workshops.
Lindsay Meek (Training Coordinator – HRC) has worked independently with the WearHouse to develop a new training process for the Provisionals that is focused on smaller groups, combining hands on training with a social opportunity. These sessions have received great feedback!
Amy Mitchell (Vice Chair – ETA Marketing & PR) has played an integral part in planning and goal setting for the upcoming year.
Lesley Mills (Arrangements and Appreciation) is a new member making a big splash within her committee. She recently took the initiative to increase engagement, grabbing a few pictures for social media during the first meeting of the year!
Kirsten Pittman (Nominating) is off to a great start as part of the Nominating Committee. She hit the ground running in her responses to nominating needs and is a very valued member of the team!
Whitney Sturge (Family Healthlink) is making a huge impact in her first year as a part of this committee. She has been phenomenal in assuring that all members of the committee have what they need to create successful events.
Danielle Rose (WearHouse) was instrumental in effecting change at the WearHouse during Fall Changeover. Her hard work, creativity and leadership helped to dramatically transform the space and it looks phenomenal.
All member recognitions have come from JLC leaders who have noticed the incredible work being done on their teams.
