Kids in the Kitchen Garden Update

The Kids in the Kitchen Committee has been hard at work this month to finalize planning for the Reid Park Academy garden. Thank you to Jenni Borden for updating us:

“Green greetings from the Reid Park community gardens! We are looking forward to an exciting fall in the garden as we re-engage with the Reid Park community, plant some herbs and vegetables for fall harvest and plan to prepare the garden for winter. Our recently-named garden specialist, Caroline Rooks, has been hard at work, coordinating fall and winter plans with the Reid Park Academy leadership team and some of our garden support experts at Friendship Gardens. Our main goals for the garden this year are: to increase community and student/faculty involvement in the gardens with plantings, maintenance and possibly a garden club or garden newsletter, and to get the composts firmly established and producing.”
