The Junior League of Charlotte is lucky to have so many dedicated members. The following members were recognized during the month of November for going above and beyond and living the mission of the JLC. Congratulations to all on a job very well done.
Amanda Allsbrook and Chanese Bailey (HRC Marketing and PR) are newer members on the committee and both hit the ground running.
Mandy Brannon (Give Kids a Smile) worked diligently to secure Colgate van dates. Allison Broglie (Give Kids a Smile) was instrumental in coordinating volunteers and arranging games for the Second Saturday event.
Jovonna Mozeak and Brooke Koppang (Go Kids Go) were both incredibly helpful and energetic at a Go Kids Go event earlier this fall. Their enthusiasm made the event even more of a success!
Sharon Slider (Done in a Day) has organized two toiletry drives for an organization in Charlotte and has been an integral member of this committee.
Katie Kofler and Stacy Raposo (KIPP Charlotte) did a phenomenal job planning the October workshop.
Stephanie Ledford (Alexander Youth Network) has been an important asset to this committee. Stephanie constantly finds way to help out without being asked. She really shined during the Fall Festival!
Alesia Perry (Alexander Youth Network) brought enthusiasm, an awesome attitude, and new ideas to the committee. She created a new activity for the Fall Festival, a sensory station. This was a huge hit with the kids!
Season Windt (Promising Pages) was a huge help at Reid Park family night! Season is phenomenal with kids and her presence and participation in the event was so appreciated by all attendees.
Mary Sherrill Ware (ETA Manager) is such a rockstar. Recognized by three different committees, Mary Sherrill is known for her incredible leadership skills and willingness to put in extra effort to ensure the success of ETA and the JLC overall.
Amy Mitchell (ETA Marketing and PR) consistently goes above and beyond to make sure all tasks are completed on time. Throughout the year, she has made great suggestions regarding communication strategies in order to reach a broader audience.
Lindsay Gildea (Public Policy Institute) has done an exceptional job as Chair of this committee. Her leadership is appreciated by her entire team.
Catherine Espino (Finance Liaison to FDC) jumped in on short notice to assist with Lights! Camera! Fashion! She assisted with check-in and coordinated the cash boxes and credit card scanners. Additionally, she coordinated the fundraiser evaluation to identify strengths and areas of opportunity.
Gracie Blackburn (WearHouse) stepped up to assist with Marketing and PR for the WearHouse and worked incredibly hard to balance tough JLC marketing deadlines and a very busy time at work. The committee is very thankful for Gracie and all that she has been able to do.
Blair Rubio (WearHouse) took on additional responsibilities regarding communications in addition to her current role as Treasurer.
Kelly Gibbs (Planned Giving) did a wonderful job planning and coordinating the first event of the year.
Lauren Dayton (Spring Fundraiser) has been recognized for her hard work and focus during the planning process for this committee.
Hewit Hawn (Fall Fundraiser) put in long hours and showed great leadership and management skills in facilitating the check in process for Lights! Camera! Fashion! She has continued to work hard and commit extra time, all while training for and running a marathon.
Lindsay Meek (MDC) was recognized for her work regarding the provisional training courses (JLC 101/201 and Knowledge Nights). Otelia Hudson (MDC) has been responsible for coordinating the events and makes sure that the provisionals have something to eat at each meeting.
Debbie Hull (Nominating) is on top of all leadership positions that she is in charge of and is always full of suggestions and insight.
Hema Thekdi (Membership Advisory) has been a fantastic committee member. She takes her role incredibly seriously and works hard to get answers to her advisees quickly.
