The JLC’s fall fundraiser, Lights! Camera! Fashion! was a great success this year. The October 2013 event attracted a crowd of more than 700 supporters and raised more than $40,000 to benefit the mission of the JLC.
Lights! Camera! Fashion! is a private shopping and fashion event held each year at Belk SouthPark. In addition to a first-hand look at the latest fashions, guests get great shopping deals and the chance to win amazing prizes.
As part of this year’s Red Carpet Giveaway, guests won prizes such as a Michael Kors handbag, a night at The Ballantyne Hotel, a wine tasting party and class packages at Flywheel. Marsha Rich was especially lucky as she won two prizes, the Diamonds & Champagne earrings and a necklace.
Silent Auction items included an oceanfront beach condo at Litchfield Beach, an autographed football by Carolina Panthers Linebacker Luke Kuechly, a $1,000 Belk Gift Card and US Open Golf Tickets. Riley Singer was the envy of many as she won tickets to see Michael Buble perform in Charlotte.
Another big hit at the event were the Laura Mercier makeup consultants, on hand to provide expert advice.
