Members and Supporters Enjoy an Evening with the Charlotte Knights
On Thursday, September 14 the Charlotte Knights hosted the Junior League of Charlotte, Inc. (JLC) for a night of baseball at Truist Field in Uptown for an opportunity to fundraise, network and spend time with League members, family and friends. The JLC’s booth was featured as part of the Community Corner in the concourse, where JLC members shared information about the League with visitors and met community partners before watching the Knights take on the Nashville Sounds.
Although the Knights did not come out with a victory, $645 of the ticket sales went to the JLC’s Annual Fund, which helps the JLC fulfill its mission to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training.
Attendees experienced an excellent view of the ballpark with the city skyline as the backdrop and very pleasant weather. Members also were challenged to play baseball-themed bingo throughout the evening for a chance to win prizes. The JLC was honored to have the organization’s name prominently displayed on a screen alongside the outfield during the game. This was an exciting time with our members and supporters while raising funds to help this year’s goal to be #ChampionsForChange.
Thank you to all of our supporters. If you haven’t already, donate to the JLC Annual Fund today!
