The League depends on YOU and your Willingness to Serve!
Having a willingness to serve others, to stand in and help by facilitating, fostering, and serving a need, is part of the foundation of the JLC. There are those who stand in to help others by facilitating, fostering, helping, and serving where there is a need. In making the decision to be a leader, one becomes an integral part of how we address our community’s challenges.
On Thursday January 22, 2015 the JLC had their Willingness to Serve session that was facilitated by Elizabeth McMillan-Chair of Nominating, Taleayah Johnson-Vice Chair of Nominating, and Ciji Fisher-Committee Member of Training and Development. There was a leadership panel that was made up of Tricia MaGee-Chair of Leadership, Marketing, and PR, Destiny Jenkins-Education, Training, and Advocacy Council Manager, Whitni Jackson-Vice Chair of LDI, and 50+ Actives and Provisionals were in attendance.
This was an opportunity for all to receive education about what exactly willingness to serve means, how the nominating process works, and for participants to ask questions.
