Welcome back to the Ultimate Guide to being a Junior League Member with this month’s post discussing Slate and the Fall Nominating Workshop. Slate is the process by which leaders are selected for the positions on the Board of Directors (including President-Elect), Management Team (EVP-Elect and Assistant Council Managers) and Nominating Committee.
- Slate nominations will be accepted between September 9 – 27. Members can apply between September 9 – October 4. Even if you are nominated, you MUST submit an application to be considered!
- The Nominating Fall Workshop will take place on Saturday, September 14 from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm. ALL members are invited – not just women who are interested in slated positions. The tips and strategies presented are also applicable in your professional career. The workshop offers resume and interview training, valuable information on the Nominating process and various JLC leadership opportunities, and the opportunity to network and hear from many leaders within the JLC organization. Special guest is Stacy Cassio, CEO/Founder of Pink Mentor Network for Women.
