JLC Puppets and the Community Awareness Committee just performed three puppet shows at Windsor Park Elementary School. “You Are What You Eat” is targeted toward children in pre-k, kindergarten, and 1st grade and focuses on the importance of healthy eating and living habits. The puppets are a one of kind, instrumental tool when it comes to getting the message of health and nutrition across to young children; a message was well received by the children in attendance at the Windsor Park performances. Each group of kids laughed, clapped, and were extremely responsive to show. At the end of each performance, the puppets were brought out and gave hugs and high fives to all of the students. Community Awareness Committee works to promote healthy family initiatives throughout the community. This show is just one example of the rewarding impact a few puppets can make.
